At Next Step Rehabilitation Therapy Inc. we are client-focused, community based and results oriented. In order to continue to grow and provide optimal rehabilitation therapy services continually adding to our team is essential. We are always interested in hearing from qualified individuals with various skills sets located throughout Southwestern Ontario.
The goal of Next Step Rehabilitation Therapy Inc. is to provide our clients with access to rehabilitation therapists with both hands on experience, appropriate education and skills to meet their needs. We are looking for individuals who have previous experience dealing with individuals following a Motor Vehicle Collision.
At Next Step Rehabilitation Inc. we would be interested in hearing from individuals with the following educational backgrounds:
- Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Physiotherapy Assistant
- Communicative Disorders Assistant
- Developmental Service Worker or other human services field
- Degree in Kinesiology
- Behavioural Science
In order to meet the needs of clients referred to Next Step Rehabilitation Therapy Inc. the following experience is being sought:
- Implementation of rehabilitation programs for both physical and cognitive needs post injury
- Experience in a number of setting such as the home, school, community and workplace
- Direct working experience with various health professionals (e.g. Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Pathologist, Psychologist, Social Worker, Physiotherapist)
- Completion of feedback keys developed by treatment team
- Ability to use the latest technology for integration into daily routines
- Familiarity with local resources to optimize an individual’s rehabilitation
- Basic knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule
Rehabilitation Therapists require a valid driver’s licence, their own reliable vehicle and have a flexible schedule to meet the client’s needs. The positions at Next Step Rehabilitation Therapy Inc. are as consultants with the number of hours dependent on client needs and the skill set and geographical need. Prior to working with clients rehabilitation therapists will be required to have a current Vulnerable Sector Search and Professional Liability Insurance coverage.
