At Next Step Rehab Therapy we provide adaptable, skilled and versatile Rehab Therapists to meet your unique needs.
Our Rehabilitation therapists have experience working with clients who have been injured in serious motor vehicle collisions resulting in a wide variety of injuries and associated symptoms with an array of rehabilitation needs. The rehab therapists at Next Step Rehab Therapy Inc. work with clients who have sustained acquired brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, complex orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain, as well as a constellation of other injuries. The limitations caused by these injuries require either long term compensatory or shorter term rehabilitation strategies to be used. Their strength also rests in implementing strategies to lessen the psychological impact physical injuries can have on day to day function. Treatment goals prescribed in the client’s individual treatment plan are implemented in whatever setting best fits the client’s needs and an individual’s specific goals. Therapy can take place in the home, at school, in the community and in work environments.
As every client’s injuries are individual and distinct, their needs and requirements are also unique. Based on the recommendations of the treatment team a specific rehabilitation plan will be developed taking into account individual goals and interests. The treatment team may include, depending on the specific case, a Family Physician, Medical Specialists, Psychologists, Case Manager, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist and Physiotherapist. Each of these professionals will provide input with respect to specific rehabilitation goals.
At Next Step Rehab Therapy we believe in using a collaborative approach to client rehabilitation, working as part of the rehabilitation team which includes health professionals, your family, legal representative and insurance adjusters. An important aspect of this approach is matching the client with a rehab therapist who connects with them on a personal level. This personal connection allows the therapist to more successfully implement the treatment goals. Matching the client with the rehab therapist whose particular skill set will optimize the rehabilitation goals is a crucial component to this approach. The rehab therapist will follow a program that is overseen by a Regulated Health Professional.
The cost of travel can be a big issue consuming a significant portion of the funds available in a client’s insurance policy. This can rapidly drain their Medical and Rehabilitation benefits. Next Step Rehab Therapy endeavors to continually add to our network of Rehabilitation Therapists located in various communities throughout South Western Ontario. In this way we are able to provide therapists from within the client’s own community ensuring that benefits are allocated primarily to getting clients back to their daily routine and reintegrated into their community quickly.
At Next Step Rehab Therapy we strive to provide skilled, caring and adaptable rehab therapists who are well versed in accessing your local community resources.
