Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Honors Specialization in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She also holds a certification as a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. Emily’s passion for rehabilitation therapy stems from personal experience and through seeing the positive impact it results in for her clients.
Throughout her time in university, Emily was exposed to a wide variety of populations in several different settings, including hospital, aquatic, client homes, and gyms. Emily has worked in the field of rehabilitation for multiple years, exposing herself to a large diversity of clients. She has experience supporting cardiac patients, and individuals with orthopedic or spinal cord injuries. Emily has assisted clients to improve their independence and therefore their quality of life through the use of exercise therapy and rehabilitation.
Emily’s experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team has helped her to develop strong communication and conflict resolution skills to ensure the client’s needs are met. She seeks to build a therapeutic relationship with her clients, therefore providing personalized rehabilitation services.
Emily enjoys living an active lifestyle, spending time outdoors camping and hiking, helping her family on their farm, and spending time with her friends.
